I put off seeing this again for a long time because it is so real, so powerful and so upsetting.What these offenders did was, indeed, done before by the hordes of Genghis Khan, by Hitler's SS and by the Japanese in China, but the frequency with which it is done and however brutalized men are by warfare doesn't make it any less inexcusable. Obviously this was one of the few times that such an outrage in Vietnam came to light and was punished. (10/10)
This movie was so powerful and emotionally stirring. Solid performances all around. I almost forgot about this one with all of the good war movies that have come out since. It's a hidden gem that comes highly recommended. 5/5 stars
This has got to be one of the saddest movies I've ever seen. And to think this is based on something that actually happened. I cried. It was hard to watch.
but knowing war, I know things like that happen. The heat of battle, and the death, can change a person. I do applaud the man who went against the tide.. about an 8 for me.
What exactly do you know about war?
That was not something that happens in the heat of battle.
It was a loss of mind and disipline. A premeditated crime against humanity and decency by a derelict NCO.
Not only that but an act which endangered the mission and the lives of the men in his squad.

Have seen it many times and has to so with alot of what soldiers go through not what they were taught if they wrong its green machine life and not really for anyone to judge war is hell forgive them. 10/10.
