This is one of those movies i will watch again and again and i never say that. Definitely one of my all time favorites. Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp are so great in this.
This movie was great! the plot was intriguing and kept me hooked. The cast was great, and the best part was the chocolaterie, the chocolate in the movie was irresistable, had to hav chocolate after that. 10/10 A must see, one of the best movies
i kept seeing this tape over videocity but didnt really paid attention coz it looks boring from the cover..but boy, was i wrong! this has got to be one of the best movies i've ever seen! fom the plot, to the dialogues, even to the cinematography! bravo!
this movie is such a fest for the eyes an soul, its perfect, whats better then watching a feel good movie that makes u think an wanna eat chocolate, an then u some all that up with the delicious Johnny Depp, an u got ur self one amazingly brilliant movie, i loved it, id definitely recommend it as the story line is fascinating!*)
For a movie on such a petite scale without grandeur sets or large budget this was exceptionally well crafted. All the acting was superb with great meaning of open mindedness, kindness, and harmony among people. This movie deals with prejudices, unrighteousness, love, autonomy, ambitions, and wistfulness, stringency of custom, and the freedom of vivacity that lives in people no matter how suppressed it may be. The narrative component was almost soothing to listen too. Judi Dench is a gem and always will be one of the great thespians, man what a rebel character. Juliette Binoche would be my ideal wife. The Chocolaterie gives you mad cravings if you’re a chocolate enthusiast. Can’t believe I waited 8 yrs to see this movie I didn’t think it was for a guy.
5/5 stars because it makes you wanting more while you eat your truffles. I know I did. Yum!
It's a bit slow moving, the second half is better. I thought it was a pretty mediocre movie, but there was a line the priest said that really did it for me:
"I don't want to talk about His divinity. I'd rather talk about His humanity. I mean, you know, how He lived His life here on earth. His kindness, His tolerance..Listen, here's what I think. I think we can't go 'round measuring our goodness by what we don't do, what we deny ourselves, what we resist, and who we exclude. I think we've got to measure goodness by what we embrace, what we create, and who we include."
After watching the movie, when he speaks those words it feels so powerful..
This movie was both delicious and wonderfully romantic.
I was really bummed out that I didn't have any chocolate around while I watched it online or on TV when it showed on HBO.. :( But hey, at least I got the chance to see Johnny Depp with a ponytail and without any freaky makeup! God, he was adorable - Roux..
..without having some chocolate :) This was one of the most beautiful movies, It was really pleasant to watch. Just like in a little chocolate shop, we all sometimes find ourselves tempted by the sweetest pleasures in life we cannot resist. This movie reminds us that we should enjoy the moment sometimes, cause its not about the things we don't do in life and things we keep ourselves from, but things we do, things we accomplish, and how we feel.

My sister used to love this movie and she turned to it whenever it was on and I absolutely abhorred it. Who would have known that I would sit down to watch it until the very end years later and find that I loved it just as much, maybe more. But of course had I known Johnny was in , I would have known it a whole lot sooner. :) 10/10!!
if this flick dont get you in the mood for a sweet snack, the acting sure will. not his best work ever, but anything with the great johnny depp would surely be a piece of art. this movie warms the heart. 9/10 for all you depp lovers out there you should check out my playlist which has all the johnny depp films i could find here in order from newest to oldest. capnluci's just for johnny depp. thanks and enjoy:)
I loved it! It settled my headache that I had been carrying for the past two days. The movies that settle your inner pain and worry are worth so much more. I am satisfied and full in my hopes for a better tomorrow.
