A fairly good adaptation of Jane Austen's book. Gwenyth Paltrow did a wonderful job with the part. If you like action movies where you don't have to use your brain, then you won't like this. This is a movie with a lot of words that you have to listen—to get it!
I am a lover of all things Jane Austen and even though I enjoyed this movie, it is my least favorite of all of the Austen novels and this movie was my least favorite as well. At no point did I care for the Emma character, which took away from the book and the movie for me. Overall, good movie though.
This movie , well the book is actually a bit of a parallel to Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, in which everyone's love got mixed up and misguided. It came together at the end exactly as it was destined to be. LOVED IT.
I love period films and I've seen dozens, but I couldn't finish this. Gwyneth Paltrow is terrible. Her accent sounds phony and her acting sucks. I would've really enjoyed this had they cast a good actress or someone more suitable for this role.
i didnt like mr.knightly as much as i like other men in jane austen's films..but hey, who cares, its all about how a woman feels ..she shows different types of women in all her novel..i just somehow relate to her movies, cant get enough of movies like such, please please please anybody suggest me few more of the same kind of movies..but i guess ive watched most of them..i started feeling sorry for the friend but in the end it was a happy ending..so now i can go to sleep with a smile on my lips..:) aww..
i love all jane austins characters..they are all so young full of dreams and hope ..make mistakes like any other human..but learn to correct themselves through trial and error..LOVELY..
I loved this movie. I love all of the movies based on Jane Austin's books. Clueless is one of my favorite movies and it was based on Jane Austin's Emma.
Jane Austen was a great writer. I loved her first work Northanger Abbey the best though. I think its not boring. If you don't like Jane Austen's books then why are you watching the movies! Doesn't make any sense.
I absolutely love this film. I wish i lived in Jane Austen times. You could go to balls and stuff and everything seems nicer. This is my second favourite Austen story (Pride and Prejudice is my first) and i really like this version! 10/10!
I would say that this movie is not boring at all if you're a romantic person and that you love Jane Austen's books.. Actually, I think this movie is well-adapted from the novel and Gwyneth Paltrow is just great !
