Excellent movie..based on true life events which made it all the more interesting. The actors made you feel you were right there in the midst of what was going on at the time..the direction was awesome.

According to the comments I thought it is a masterpiece, but nothing special, but also very realistic, very good acting and script based on true events. I will give 8/10.
Cast and production were good especially Sir Ben Kingley, and the story was clever in not being politicial while telling the story to a backdrop of political times but some scenes dragged a bit, 7.5/10.

very good movie and good acting ..dragged on a tad to long but it was still good. and it realistically captures each sides point of view during a war on terror...4/5
True to life story which is about 30 mints too long.
This film is down to earth with a bang,as it showes that when you live by the gun you can als die by the gun!
Sir Ben Kingsley once again gives a fine acting lession to anyone watching this film!

great film the main charecter is a great actor i saw him in 21 and now this he plays an irishman good, the picture poster on this site is for a different film, for ages i thought this wasnt it but it and its great
The guns used for what was suposed to be terrorist/religious reasons is now used for crime and the wall still runs through the middle of the city keeping the Catholics and the Protestants apart. It has changed some for the better but the killers are still there..The film gets a 10/10 for showing the truth!!
I'm a Protestant originally from the Waterside. I'm usually sceptical about films such as this as alot are one sided and anti Protestant fiction. This this one for the most part isnt to bad and shows it how it was. 4/5
This movie was great. Plain and simple. I wouldn't change one bit of it. Jim Sturgess did amazing as an Irishman when he's originally from London. Great, great movie. (*_*)
Great cast, great acting, very powerful story and very sad. Didnt think itd be my sort of film and its not but watched it anyway. There is no way you could describe this film as boring as there was just to much going on. All in all a good film, wouldnt watch it again but you have to judge for yourself, i dont like period dramas either but i thought the Duchess was out of this world so give it a try you may surprise yourself.
is hard to play several rolles,in a cold ass world of crime and death..x-ellent movie and sad that it is a true story what politicels does to innocents humans and is still out there is not done..10 plus movie..
