This movie should have comedy in the genre. its a little like 'rush hour' but not half as funny. and travolter doesn't suit a segal type Kick every1s ass role so its just ends up coming across really corny and cheesy. watch 'Nico' or 'under seige' 1 or 2 instead if you want to see some ass kicking action!
ps, travs face when he's shooting through the manaquins at the chinese gang made me rolmao.

although travolta was good in this movie,i thought it was terrible..rubbish plot..predictable and i dont think thr action made up for that..id give it 5/10
This was awesome!! John at his greatest. Definitely a must see. There has to be a sequel in the works. I would love to see him and Rhys Meyers again!! Wooww!! 4.5/5
Dont Listen to the ratings or any1 who comments or says this movie isnt even gud .. This Movie is Class, all the way through .. John travolta is awesome n just gets better n better .. Quality Movie 9/10
I loved the movie. I'm surprised that with so many "votes" (6,484 votes right now) that only 31 people commented on it which leaves me to believe someone spanked the ratings for some reason. And, they want us to believe that out of over 6 1/2 THOUSAND people only 30 something comment? Not in this lifetime, people. Anyway, comments tell all and Travolta continues to surprise me with his ability to change and get into whatever movie he's doing. Storyline was good, sorta overdone action but not really - it was time for a decent action movie to come out. 4/5
Out of the 30 movies listed on our new movie list only 2 have as many views as this movie - Valentines Day with 6764 as of today and thats understandable considering it was the only holiday movie out for February and Percy Jackson & The Olympians Lightning Thief with 6755 as of today. Shocking this movie would have as many views as those and be rated lower than the B movies. I did find the tab where the rest of the comments for this movie are and the majority of them are good comments. Sorry if this comment seems out of place but just leaves me to wonder - whats going on?
JUST TROLLS stupid people who think it's funny to give low ratings, and think about it, how much time to devote to signing on again and again with friends to do that? Don't think it's possible? Remember the dumb school aged girls that made a pact to get pregnant? Randal Ellis, 19, hacked into the emergency dispatch system from his two-story home 1,200 miles away. He somehow manipulated ISP equipment, picked the family at random and pretended to be them. He's serving Jail time now These youngins today are bound and determined to wreak havoc. They find it funny. Send viruses around the world. Beat up homeless people? Troll the internet to be as negative as possible to get reactions out of people. All these kids enjoy is weed, texting, video games and disrespecting their parents.
I just watched From Paris with Love on NovaMov & my boyfriend put down his laptop from Sunday afternoon work! !
He enjoyed the film as did I. B to B+!!
if some one needed to pad the rating they are doing this movie an injustice. Travolta is at his usual best and the story line is very plausible considering todays political climate,, maybe a bit ott with the action but still a very enjoyable movie
i agree.is somthing wrong with my taste in movies?the star rate on this site seem to be inverse for me if it has a middle rate then i love it,if its given a high rate i dont like it. i must be strange.
If you watch this film with your tongue firmly stuck in your cheek and you don't take anything seriously then you may think its not bad. (and if your a teenager!) If your expecting anything like Taken or any Jason Bourne type film then be prepared for serious disappointment. Too OTT for me. I will give it a generous 5/10 for some decent acting and for the comical element.
The rating grade, of this movie, is too low. This certainly is not an Oscar worthy film, but few are. For simple entertainment, this movie satisified, immensley.
Yes there were 'cut-scenes' that should not happen, with the quality individuals, whom worked on the movie ( Luc Besson & Pierre Morel).
The acting was good, Travolta and Rhys-Myers had good chemistry and the action was plentiful.
It did not 'stump' me and there were predictable parts, in the story but guess what?
I was looking to be entertained and this movie did just that. 3/5
if you like a plastic, superficial, unrealistic and over the top 'hero', watch this. nothing we haven't seen yet. the untouchable hero kicks everybody's ass blabla, but it's nicely shot.
Why can people simply not just sit and watch a movie? Some people have to tear it up. Pick the details apart, ITS ENTERTAINMENT. Go watch a documentary if you want to have the facts and the details perfect. This is fiction. This movie Rocks!!!!

This movie was one of the best I've seen this year - kitchen staff LMAO. I'd like to hire the Audi driver near the end as my personal driver haha What a great movie! Can't wait to buy it on DVD.
the title was lame, but it was a fairly shrewd move copying James Bond, which would get people interested and subconsciously think that it might be on par with a Bond film. So even though it was a brilliant marketing scheme, for people too smart to fall for that, yes it is most certainly a terrible name.
Unrealistic, over-the-top action flick. The plot is extremely silly, the story quite implausible, and the action scenes are absolutely ridiculous not to mention that you can see the twist coming from the beginning.Both Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers deliver good performances and they had good chemistry but at the same time their characters are paper-thin and were poorly written. Something that appalled me was the editing of the film and the transition between some scenes. I thought it was rather choppy and not something I would expect from experienced directors like Luc Besson and Pierre Morel.
The film does have its moments and can be quite entertaining at times but if you're expecting something along the lines of Morel's last film, Taken, which was a well thought and realistic action-thriller then you're gonna be extremely disappointed.
Spot on Harvester- Taken is a masterpiece compared to this.
If your looking for some proper and realistic action go watch-Ronin, Heat or 36.
btw steven Segal does the 'invincible kick every1s ass in the room and not get hurt' stuff way better than old trav.
