i found this film really boring!! there was too much music and not enough story, the first 3 thirds was pointless its only (
[SPOILER]
after he gets captured
) that the film starts to take off but even then the whole idea (
[SPOILER]
that the penguins dancing is what made people notice there plight
) felt a bit stupid, the old classic disney films such as 'secret of nimh' and the subject of animal testing etc tackled such big issues more directly and in a much more effective way without being too boring and overbearing for children. all in all it could have been much much better 4/10
I bought the DVD. Now, I wish I hadn't. The movie is alright for kids, but I find it rather boring and mundane. I know it comes with great reviews, but I really cannot come up with one, myself. 2/5
great movie it teaches your kids to be themself and believe in themself even when no one else does. Shows kids that what makes them different makes them beautiful

Happy feet..With a Saddening bore about it
So this movie was reccomended to me but alot of my older aunts lol. So i decided to give it a chance and i really honestly wish i didnt. It was such an incredibly boring movie. The only semi non boring parts were the parts w/ robin williams and even those parts werent that funny. And i mean whats w/ putting these kinds of messages in children movies. I mean i understand that it an important subject but let kids be kids for now. I really didnt like this at all but i cant really say dont watch it because obviously everyone else liked it lol. I give it a 3/10
whats with putting messages like this in childrens movies? It teaching them tolerance to help counter act the intolerance for different kinds of people they learn from there familys and friends. The earlier you start the better off theyll be. The longer you wait the harder it is to get reid of the intolerant behavior instilled in them by generations.
We were one of the last ones to get this movie in theater because they were convinced it was about a gay penguin _._ as if that matters :|
just like i put on my comment for nemo i dont really like the whole animals singing and some where in it i actually had to stop the movie and wake my self up so yeah. sorry for the poor coment but seriously dancing penguins. was kind cute at first than it started getting worse.great for kids though they would love it
