The thing about this movie is that noone expects it to be as good as it turns out being.
Starts out rather slow, but once Douglas shows up, you won't wanna stop watching. Also a very fitting ending.
Highly recommended.

only once it worked for me well any other time it just buffers every two seconds. it would probably take a whole day and a half for me to watch a movie on that.
i first saw this movie when i was young and it scared the hell out of me but i loved it, watching it now it still makes me never want to meet a lion face to face lol awesome movie 5/5
I watched it last night during the '30 hour famine' and BOY WAS IT GREAT! It is a really good movie. 100/5 Being a kid, I thought Patterson and Remmington were funny. REALLY funny.

I can't believe Remmington died, though. That sucked.
If anyone's interested, the particular lion pride in question has a very morbid history. Slave traders would drive their captives through their territory, and the stragglers provided a consistent source of food.
Lions don't generally hunt people (not to say they don't eat the occasional over-friendly tourist), but after generations of eating human flesh they changed.
I FOUND IT ..thank god who ever downloaded this here..i saw this movie some 7 years back and had been searching it since..this is UNDOUBTEDLY ON OF THE GREATEST SCARIEST MOVIE EVER..it will chill you till your bone marrow..100 out of 10
Great movie! There are'nt many films like this. Val Kilmers Irish accent was terrible though & the score/music was totaly uninspired. Still a great movie & a refreshing change from the usual film themes. 8/10.
I dont know much about the movies origins etc. although i have seen the pictures of the lions who were responsible for the killings, interestingly they were both mane less males who had bad decaying teeth which is believed to be the reason why they hunted 'easy' 'softer' prey (humans). ANYWAYS the film is brilliant! i have it on dvd and its a must watch for people who like good acting, a good story and cast and great thrills - not really a horror though. 9/10
Interesting, with a few surprises, and dramatic effects. Fantastic views of Africa, and some of the best acting done by Michael Douglas and Val Kilmer. Highly recommended. An older movie, but still well worth the watch, again.
