This film is a true masterpiece. Even after the 30 years that has past I can still watch the movie and enjoy every second of it. This film had my attention and on my seat through the whole thing and wanting more. Yes, the special effects are a bit weak but come on, it was 30 years ago. Even with the cheap special effects, I enjoyed every scenes even more since it had meaning behind it. I could almost surely say that I could still feel the same things people were feeling when they first saw this film 30 years ago.
This is the 6 time i have tryed watchin this movie ad i just can not get through it it's just really boring in my opinion im sure its a good movie but i just cant get through it i have all the godfather and this is the only one that ive tryed watchin maybe i need to watch the other Godfathers first just really dont like movie like Bonnie And Clyde,The Godfather,Scareface and movies like that i just dont get in to them i don't know.but for what i watched of the movie like i said it was really boring so i gotta give it a 4/10
This is one of the best movies ever made. It's the measuring stick for all other gangster movies. I don't understand why the rating is so low. Apparently most people on this site wouldn't know a good movie if it bit them on the butt.

Having that said the ranking over here do not make justice to this film. some kids here must be raking this by the CG.. well is you are waiting for a 75 film look like the 2009 transformers it won´t.. for his time this film was a killer.. and for me it still is.
The acting was splendid but the effects didnt do it for me. I was rather bored by the middle of the movie. I am aware of the popularity of this movie, but I just couldnt get into it. 3/5
i love it, marlon is the best actor in this world, in my opinion but in this one Al is just stealing the show from everyone, amazing movie with true legends!!

(5/5) I never tire of watching "Godfather I" or either of the two sequels which are in my opinion just as good: something that does not often occur with sequels. Michele Corleone is compelled to do many unpleasant things that really go against his basically decent nature, simply through his loyalty to his father, also a basically decent man, who wanted a better, cleaner life for his son. Apparently there were genuine mafiosi millnig around the set and giving advice when this was being shot, so it is very likely that it rings true.
one of the best movies ever made,I could watch it every weekend and I would not getting bored of it,simply this movie and all other parts of GODFATHER are just GREAT;;10/10

This is crazy.
Most of you people need to learn that action, shooting and all that kinda stuff is not exciting unless dialogues and plots are good.
A great film but I was a little disappointed with it due to in my opinion not living up to it's hype. I loved the story and thought The Godfather was brilliantly acted and a great character. I look forwarding to watching Godfather 2 and 3.
A timeless classic. Arguably the best film (and trilogy) ever made. Flawless directing from Francis Ford Coppola and equally flawless acting from Marlon Brando and Al Pacino.
There's really no need to say much more. This film will live forever. 5/5 stars.
This,in my opinion is the best movie ever made,not just because of the gangster angle but, the way it deals with family issue's which was not just inclusive to this type of person but,applied to us all at one time a thing that is almost alien in this day and.The film is well directed and the acting is second to none with not a failure among them,i have watch it so many times now and i still find something different everytime and i rate this movie so highly that no rating could ever be enough.
