Now THIS is what a horror movie SHOULD be! I am a ghost story addict and as far as they go, this set the standard.
The story, excellent, Acting, excellent, Ending, excellent. 10/10
This is what a REAL scary movie is meant to be. Some people can't handle a scary movie that does not include some crazed ax murderer gushing blood and gore everywhere. I personally am not a fan of watching homicide on the silver screen.
Just because this film does not have a ton of special effects does not make it a boring film. Some movies are actually made with written creativity. This movie frightening because of the concept of reality that it creates. When a horror movie can do that, it makes for great film.
I miss the day when movies came from great written material and the special effects were just an enhancement. Hollywood needs to get back to making movies this way.
this movie was so slow and boring,and with a very predictible ending which i saw coming a mile away,and was actually praying they werent going to go there but, they did. 1.8/5
A hounted ghoust. LOL If he had more action it would have been a great movie, unfortunately, is boring, and it last like forever. 4/5 for Nicole cos she's a good actress.
Yeah, I can recall the elder sister calling the young boy a cowardly custard, which, he really was along with their mom. I only felt sorry for the little girl, who was so brave, smart and down-to-earth. This is a wonderful movie. I have learnt a lot from it.
definitly a must-see! i thought it was brilliant how they turned the tables.. so instead of getting haunted by ghosts they where actually haunted by humans.. in a twisted way. the only thing that scared the living day lights out of me in the whole movie was when the girl had that vale thing on and she was playing with those puppet strings .. oh my god!! her face was soo scary! if i ever watch that movie again il be covering my eyes at that bit ! really good film, good story line.. didnt expect the ending! .. 10/10.
Nicole Kidman and the cast did a wonderful job in this movie. What I loved about it so much is that you know there is a twist to the whole thing, at times you may THINK you know what it is (talking of course about the first time you watch it), but not until towards the end do you truely find out when everything begins to become exposed. VERY well worth the watch if you are more into not a gore and blood flim, but more of a psychological, not going to know until the twist at the end movie.
Personally, I enjoyed the entire film. I give it a 9.5/10.
I hate movies like this, but I gave it a chance. Very very dull. The ending is predictable and there is no point of any of it. I can't recommend this movie at all unless you are having trouble sleeping at night. 2/5 simply for having Nicole Kidman.
because he is DEAD.. he has to go back where HE DIED.. he is still in limbo as well because he left his wife and children. its like he is living in his death until he decides to move on just like Nicole and the kids. He comes to tell her that he knows what she did because he is able to now to interact with them on a different plane
