I love Ellen Page in anything but this movie is awful. It's not her performance but the story. The cut and edit of the movie with it's fragmented sequence formation isn't so much the problem as the redundancy that was very unnecessary. The director was trying to be waay too "original" and forgot to develop a true story.

I only watched to the end to see what happened to her brother and was even more dissappointed that I subjected myself to all 1 hour and 15 mins of this only for there to be no closure whatsoever
0.5/5 (got a .5 because Ellen Page was its only redeeming factor or else it would have been zero)
Intresting movie with a lot of problems such as not having a good story and trying to be to original.. Decent acting by Ellen Page, the director hurt whatever little story they had with all the split screens.. I thought about stoping in the first five mins, and this was one of those movies where I should have went with my gut and avoided this.. 3/10..
Well, I absolutely couldn't wait to watch this movie.
I am a big fan of indie films, and this seemed like a really good one.
But, I didn't enjoy it.
I'm sure if I could take all the screen fragmentation I may have liked it.
But I didn't like the way it was shot at all, and it kind of killed the movie for me.
I couldn't watch it, and ended up falling asleep.
I'm not saying that it is a bad film, it's just not for me.
This movie was good. It's different then most films, which is a good thing. It's like we were inside of her head. Yes, it is slow,but good.
Just left a lot of unanswered questions.. like
I thought this movie was horrible and so very boring and a waste of time. You get exactly what you expect, no surprises or anything. I just kept watching to see if it got better.. it didn't! 2/5 and also it was SO very annoying how it was shot. Most of the time I was confused.
The film was similar to a Droste effect, Heraldry, mise en abyme..in that it was of it self and in fragments of fragments the scenes unfolded. Much is similar to actual thought processes..we do not think, necessarily, in a chronological forward sequence. The film was about that and how she dealt with the banality of youthful frustration. I could have a film like this just running as wall paper and enjoy it.
I absolutely love the way this movie was shot, but the replaying scenes became a little exhausting after a while. Ellen Page, as always delivered a mind-blowing performance.
It seemed like they were trying to hard to be original, but still a good movie.

after watching this movie i had this really depressing feeling and i felt like i had a lump in my throat and a feel in my stomach that made me wanna pukee
buti really liked this film i didnt get up once from it my eyes were glued to the screan
i can see how the style might not work for some people but i thought it sort of helped capture the way Tracy would be feeling as she thought about recent events in her life. great if you're in the mood to think.
Im debating whether or not to watch this. i am ussually one for the weird twisted movies but i like them to be a bit on the creepy, entertaining side and all the comments state that this movie is boring..
Maybe ill watch it one day when i have alot of time on my hands..? Maybe..
I just cannot watch a movie that is a bunch of views of the scene all at once all the time. I need one large picture so, I can see it. I think Ellen Paige is a great actress. I can only give this 2 stars. :) Julliette
Watch the 1st part and though bollocks to this, found it pretty borring, then decided to carry on and watch the whole thing, strange movie, i'll give it a 6/10. Ellen Page great actress though.
i have a little bit of add i cant handle that movie and all those boxes and whatever, i need entertainment not some kind of brain age movie. i miss Marlon Brando and Bette Davis..i need to just stick to my old movies. it just seems like Ellen always plays that same maudlin character, just my opinion
