Hard to believe Wizard Of Oz is over 70 years old now! It's one of those films that will always capture a child's imagination, and will take an adult back to their childhood. A must see for anyone of any age.
It will be interesting to see if Tim Burton gets his hands on the rights for a goth remake.
The true definition of classic. I've lost track of how many times I've watched this film and I still can't get over how fantastic it looks for 1939.

Dorathy will die once the sand timer runs out of sand.. why wouldn't Dorathy just turn the sand timer over once it starts getting low? LOL
i find it so funny that this movie bombed when originally released in theaters and critics called it the worst movie of the year, and here we are over half a century later talking about how much we love this film
In 2039, this movie will be 100 years old and people will still be talking about it 100 years from now long after we are all gone. This is timeless, wish I could write something this good. A Classic, who has not seen this yet LOL
This movie was great when first filmed, 50 years later it was still just as great. Today it still is, and in the far future it will never stop being what it has always been.
I can't even think of another movie that has proven itself generation after generation. This movie is Timeless.
I'm not even going to joke this movie has given me more nightmares than any other film!
And i have seen alot of horrors, basically all of them but nothing compared to this!

I don't like too many movies with singing parts in them, but The Wizard of Oz doesn't do such a shabby job. It's got a good plot, and the three side characters will go down for centuries.

I did hear about the issue where someone supposedly hung themselves in the backdrop of the set when Dorothy was walking through the forest. I've seen the movie quite a few times, and looked very closely to see this, but have yet to see anything. Rumor, perhapes?
